Volunteer Extraordinaire

Kay Hanson is the Volunteer Extraordinaire for January. When her granddaughter was in Kindergarten, Ms. Hanson started volunteering in the computer room and the children started calling her "Computer Grandma". The name has stuck and she continues to volunteer there, in Ms. Layugan's 2nd grade classroom and the library. She volunteers because her granddaughter likes to see her around the school and she wanted to give back to the community. Ms. Hanson has been sharing her life with Tim Day for the last 29 years. She has one daughter and one granddaughter that she loves spending time with. She also keeps busy assisting her daughter with an in-home business. She loves Coyote Trail and the Marana Unified School District.

ABC Staff Member
Courtney Cameron is employed as a Special Education Aide in the Bridge program at the school. She helps with projects in Bridge  and helps in any other way she can. She particularly enjoys using her lunch hour to tutor 6th graders in reading. She also tutors twice/week, after school. She volunteers and works at Coyote Trail because she believes in enriching children's lives. She knows that this is accomplished by dedicated teachers and volunteers, like those at Coyote Trail. Ms. Cameron has been married to her husband, Matt, for 11 years. They have two children, who attend Coyote Trail. All her spare time is devoted to her children's and her own sports. The entire family enjoys hiking and camping together, as well.

Ways to Raise Money For Coyote Trail

  • Click Here to link your Fry's card to Coyote Trail. *Remember, even if you did this last school year, you need to renew it again this school year. Encourage neighbors, friends and relatives to do the same with their Fry's card. After you sign up, you don't need to do anything else but shop!

  • Raytheon Employees: Raytheon's "Matching Gifts for Education Program" is designed to encourage Raytheon employees to support education with their personal contributions. Coyote Trail is eligible for matching gifts under this program, which means that if you do a tax credit donation to Coyote Trail, Raytheon will match your gift, doubling the amount of your donation up to $10,000! The Matching Gifts for Education program can be found here on the Raytheon network.
  • Box Tops - collect box tops on many common pantry-type foods, Kleenex and frozen foods. *Remember to ask family and friends to collect Box Tops, too, and turn them into the front office or your child's teacher.
