Volunteer Extraordinaire
JoDee Rudd is the Volunteer Extraordinaire for December. She helps at Coyote Trail by volunteering in reading groups weekly. She also helps with field trips, holiday celebrations and regular classroom duties. JoDee says every time she volunteers, she comes away from the school with at least one small lesson. She enjoys volunteering because she understand the efforts  teachers make because her mother was an elementary school teacher. She likes to meet the students and says, "it is important for me to support the environment where my kids spend so much of their time." She and her husband of 17 years, Walter, have one son that attends Coyote Trail and another son in 7th grade. He also attended the school for 6 years.
In her spare time, JoDee likes to read, hike and attend her kids' sporting events.

ABC Staff Member
After many years of hard work as a Bridge teacher and as a volunteer, Mellodie Stratman will retire at the end of the school year. As a member of the PTF she works at Bridge movie nights, volunteers at and helps advertise for school events and she plays piano for "Happy Trails" at the end of Friday assemblies. She was instrumental in creating the Special Needs sensory playground, for which she received The LifeChanger of the Year Award from The National Life Group. The news story about the playground also went viral on social media. She and her husband have 3 children. When she is not playing with and teaching her two grandsons, she likes to go to the beach, play the piano and read.

Ways to Raise Money For Coyote Trail

  • Click Here to link your Fry's card to Coyote Trail. *Remember, even if you did this last school year, you need to renew it again this school year. Encourage neighbors, friends and relatives to do the same with their Fry's card. After you sign up, you don't need to do anything else but shop!

  • Raytheon Employees: Raytheon's "Matching Gifts for Education Program" is designed to encourage Raytheon employees to support education with their personal contributions. Coyote Trail is eligible for matching gifts under this program, which means that if you do a tax credit donation to Coyote Trail, Raytheon will match your gift, doubling the amount of your donation up to $10,000! The Matching Gifts for Education program can be found here on the Raytheon network.
  • Box Tops - collect box tops on many common pantry-type foods, Kleenex and frozen foods. *Remember to ask family and friends to collect Box Tops, too, and turn them into the front office or your child's teacher.
